Jonnathan De La Fuente

Serving as the Director of the Study Abroad at the University of California, San Diego, Jonnathan brings more than 13 years of experience in international higher education. Identifying as a first-generation Latino who is also a non-traditional transfer graduate with veteran status from the United States Army, Jonnathan studied abroad in Sweden, China, Japan, and South Korea during his undergraduate and graduate academic journeys.

Originally from Los Angeles, Jonnathan grew up speaking Spanish and has also studied Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese. Jonnathan earned a master’s degree in Administration from California State University, Bakersfield, and a bachelor’s degree in History from UCLA.
