Since 1961, the Friends of the International Center supported international education, fostered friendship, understanding, and cooperation within the international community, and created a meeting place on the UC San Diego campus for people who share these aims.
Please note that while Friends of the International Center (FIC) has dissolved both our undergraduate study abroad scholarships and international graduate fellowships will continue to be offered through the FIC account at the UC San Diego Foundation. Click this link to navigate to your preferred scholarship/fellowship fund to further our mission and legacy promoting cross-cultural understanding and friendship.
Additionally, a number of our programs continue to be offered through Global Education’s International Faculty and Scholars Office (IFSO), so if you are interested in volunteering, please contact IFSO at ischolars@ucsd.edu.
Your donation to the FIC Endowed Fellowship Fund supports graduate students whose work has an international component and/ or global relevance, whose efforts have promoted cross-cultural understanding, or who has fostered an inclusive international community.
The International Faculty & Scholars Office (IFSO) will continue to offer some of the Friends of the International Center's signature programming. If you are interested in volunteering, please email ischolars@ucsd.edu. To learn about all of IFSO's programming options
